Samuel Weinberg, an 18-year-old resident of Aptos, California, tragically lost his life on April 3, 2015, in Santa Cruz. The incident occurred during a drive-by shooting at the intersection of North Pacific Avenue and River Street. Weinberg was driving a Mercedes SUV when a silver SUV pulled up alongside him at a stoplight. An occupant of the silver SUV fired a shot, striking Weinberg in the chest. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Weinberg succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
