Joseph "Joey" Shuemaker, a 24-year-old resident of Santa Cruz, California, tragically lost his life on August 23, 2016. Shuemaker was shot to death along the San Lorenzo River levee, a location known for its issues with drug dealing. The incident occurred early in the morning, and it was later revealed that the motive behind the murder was a dispute over drug dealing territories.
