Maryanna Pennington, a 25-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost her life on November 12, 2016. The incident occurred when Deandre Jackson fired multiple shots into a car where Pennington and three other women were stranded due to a broken axle. The car was stopped near 21st and Cleveland, and the women were calling for help when Jackson approached and opened fire. More than 30 shell casings were found at the scene.
