William Froelich, aged 52, tragically lost his life on April 20, 2017, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was working for Spire Energy, formerly known as Laclede Gas Company, when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. while Froelich and his colleague, Alex Boschert, were performing their duties in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood of St. Louis City. The two men were approached by a gunman, Clinton Willis, who opened fire on them without warning.
