In the early morning hours of July 23, 2018, a tragic event unfolded in north St. Louis that resulted in the death of 42-year-old Jerry Taylor, a Black male. The incident was part of a double homicide that took place outside the Regency at St. Louis apartments.
Details surrounding the shooting remain scarce. Family members of Taylor described him as a resident of the apartment complex. On the night he was killed, he had just returned from picking up a loved one from college.
Those who knew him insisted that he had no enemies, leaving them searching for answers in the wake of the sudden violence.
When police arrived at the scene on North Kingshighway Boulevard, they discovered Taylor and another man, who was reported to be in his early to late twenties, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
