In the summer of 2019, a life was tragically cut short in a dispute that spiraled out of control in Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Keith Spencer Jr., a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on July 16, 2019, following an altercation that began inside a local market and spilled out into the parking lot. The incident, which took place outside Sam's Meat Market, would lead to another young man facing serious criminal charges.
