On the evening of August 29, 2021, DeMarco Lamont McNeal, a 36-year-old male, was fatally shot in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred at the intersection of North Tucker Boulevard and Martin Luther King Drive, a location known at the time as the site of the Interco Plaza homeless encampment. Police officers responded to the scene around 7:45 p.m. after reports of gunfire.
