Jessika Peppers, a 32-year-old woman from Kansas City, MO, tragically died on August 25, 2017. Her death was the result of a gunshot wound inflicted by her ex-boyfriend, David Love. According to court documents, Love claimed he shot Jessika in self-defense after she allegedly broke into his home. He stated that he was asleep when he heard a noise and, upon investigating, saw Jessika with a hammer in her hand. Love then fired his shotgun, hitting Jessika in the head.
