Pearl Burks, aged 48, tragically lost her life on May 15, 2001, in Lodi, California. The incident was a brutal and shocking event that also claimed the lives of her three young grandchildren: Ashley Burks, aged 6, Bobby Burks, aged 4, and Mikhala Burks, aged 5. The family was attacked in their home just southeast of Stockton. The perpetrator, Roger Leroy Johnson, was armed with a handgun and a knife.
