Tom Pickert, a 39-year-old attorney from Kansas City, Missouri, was tragically shot and killed on October 25, 2017, outside his home in the Brookside neighborhood. Pickert had just returned home after walking his children to school when he was fatally shot. The incident shocked the community and led to an extensive investigation to find the perpetrator.
