On January 31, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of West 99th Terrace, near the Willow Creek apartments. Upon arrival, officers located 26-year-old Niko M. Gonzales in the lower parking garage of an apartment complex, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
