On the evening of March 9, 2020, a violent disturbance shattered the quiet of a residential neighborhood in the Northeast area of Kansas City, Missouri. At approximately 8:45 p.m., officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to the 400 block of Spruce Avenue, located just north of Independence Avenue, following reports of gunfire.
