In the late hours of a Monday night in September 2018, events unfolded that would cut short the life of Shaun De'Angelo Norton, a 30-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri. Police were initially called to a disturbance at a residence on Stark Avenue in the southern part of the city. Not long after, a report came in that a man, later identified as Shaun Norton, had been brought to St. Joseph Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
