Johnny Mathis, a 29-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on May 4, 2018. The incident occurred during a late-night barbecue at the Eleanor Roosevelt Playground in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Mathis was fatally shot in the head around 1:40 a.m. Medics rushed him to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
