In the early evening hours, tragedy struck in Kansas City, Missouri, leaving a young man's life cut short. Sylvester Simms, a 29-year-old male, was found on the front porch of an apartment building located at the intersection of Independence and Cleveland Avenues. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
