In the early hours of a Friday morning, the quiet of a Florissant, Missouri neighborhood was shattered by a discovery that would forever alter the lives of two families. On November 16, 2018, the body of 23-year-old Derek Whalen was found in a vacant apartment on Chesapeake Drive.
