Khiry Taggart, an 18-year-old student from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), tragically lost his life on April 4, 2017, in Florissant, Missouri. The incident occurred during what police described as a drug deal. Initially reported as a vehicle accident around 12:45 a.m., officers arrived at the scene to find Taggart with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
