In the early morning hours of August 13, 2020, the life of 27-year-old Derrick Ayers, a Black male, was tragically cut short in the St. Louis suburb of Florissant, Missouri. The incident unfolded around 3 a.m. inside a residence in the 600 block of Starlet Drive.
