In the winter of 2019, the community of Jennings, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, was shaken by the violent death of 42-year-old Demetris Boyce. On Thursday, January 3rd, Boyce was found shot, his life tragically cut short by gun violence. A Black male, his death prompted an investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department.
