In the early morning hours of July 6, 2006, Bruce Douglas Whelton, a 45-year-old man from Saginaw, Michigan, was last seen at his home near North Frost and Gratiot Road. He was a longtime employee of the local Meijer store in Thomas Township, where he had worked for nearly three decades and held the position of department manager.
