Cedric Bennett, a 27-year-old resident of Saint Louis, Missouri, tragically lost his life on October 29, 2018. The circumstances surrounding his death were deeply distressing for his family and the community. Cedric was shot to death in downtown Saint Louis while attending a vigil. The vigil was held near 20th and St. Charles Streets to honor his niece's boyfriend, Demetrise Thomas, who had been killed the previous day while trying to stop a car break-in.
