On a summer afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri, a young life was tragically cut short. Ravion Markell Moody, a 16-year-old male, was shot and killed on July 30, 2018. Known affectionately as 'Bøh' to his loved ones, Ravion was remembered for his kind heart and his passion for art. He was a student at Grand Center Arts Academy and had been involved in community service since the age of 12, working with a youth program to help people in financial need.
The fatal incident occurred at
approximately 2 p.m. in the 2100 block of Switzer Avenue. St. Louis County Police responded to a call and discovered Ravion with at least one gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 16-year-old male who was with Ravion was also shot and wounded but was transported to a hospital in stable condition. The vehicle they were in, a 2014 Hyundai Tucson, had been reported stolen eleven days earlier from Richmond Heights.
According to reports, the suspects were armed individuals in a black Dodge Charger. After the shooting, they fled the scene, causing a collision between two other vehicles at the intersection of Jennings Station and Switzer. The St. Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons opened an investigation into the homicide.
Despite the efforts of law enforcement, the case surrounding Ravion Moody's death remains unsolved. As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
