On the evening of March 8, 2019, a thirty-year-old African American man named Allen Davis was critically injured in a shooting incident in Kansas City, Missouri. Davis had traveled to an auto body shop located near the intersection of 46th Street and Prospect Avenue to check on a friend’s vehicle. Upon arriving, he discovered the business was already closed for the day. Lacking his own transportation, he walked to a nearby bus stop to wait for a ride home.
