Curtis C. Burks, a Prohibition Agent, tragically lost his life on July 22, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri. His death occurred during a raid on the Lusco-Note Flower Shop, where he and other agents were conducting liquor investigations. During the search, the agents encountered Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd, a notorious criminal. Floyd was found in a back bedroom with .45 caliber bullets on the bed.
