In the late hours of a Tuesday evening, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Kansas City, Missouri neighborhood, leading to the discovery of a grim scene. On May 12, 2020, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Elmwood Avenue following reports of shots being fired. Inside the home, they found 32-year-old Jeremy Wayne Sartain and another man, Scott Collier, both suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
