On the night of May 12, 2020, authorities in Kansas City, Missouri, were called to a residence in the Northeast area of the city following reports of gunfire. Just after 10:30 p.m., police officers arrived at a home located in the 600 block of Elmwood Avenue, near the intersection with Independence Avenue.
