In the spring of 2019, the life of 32-year-old Michael Lee Scott was tragically cut short in a violent act that left his family and community searching for answers. On March 11th, police were dispatched to a home in the 3500 block of Norton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, for a welfare check. Inside, they made a grim discovery: the bodies of Michael Scott and 21-year-old Ja'Sean C. Rice. Both men had been shot to death in what was quickly classified as a double homicide.
