In the early morning hours of April 5, 2020, Monrico Cortez Roseberry, a 35-year-old male, was fatally shot in a Kansas City, Missouri, apartment. The incident occurred in the 8000 block of Campbell Avenue when three men allegedly attempted a burglary. Police responded to a call just after 1 a.m. and discovered Roseberry on a living room sofa with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
