Late on the night of April 30, 2020, officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call regarding a shooting in the West End neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the 5600 block of Maple Avenue. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The individual was identified as 23-year-old Black male Joshua Tyler Hayes-Scott, who was found in critical condition.
