On the evening of August 26, 2020, a burst of violence on the streets of south St. Louis claimed the life of 31-year-old Doral Peoples. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department received a call around 8:30 p.m. reporting a shooting in the 5200 block of South Kingshighway, near Christy Park. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a grim scene. Peoples had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the location.
