On the evening of May 24, 2020, first responders in Kansas City, Missouri, were dispatched to the intersection of Leeds Trafficway and Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard following reports of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene around 9:15 p.m., officers discovered a 40-year-old male victim, identified as Anton DeAnthony Martin, lying on the sidewalk.
