In the Gravois Park neighborhood of Saint Louis, Missouri, a burst of gunfire shattered the late summer evening of September 10, 2020, leaving a family and community to grapple with the sudden loss of Charles Curtis Ward. The 38-year-old man was discovered by police inside a vehicle at the intersection of Louisiana and Utah, suffering from a gunshot wound.
