The victim was identified as Emmanuel Jones, a 24-year-old male resident of Bellefontaine Neighbors, specifically from the 1100 block of Saint Cyr Road.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's homicide unit assumed control of the investigation into the fatal shooting. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, detectives reported that they had no information regarding a suspect or a motive for the violence.
