Bobby D. Gooch Jr., an 18-year-old from Springfield, Missouri, tragically lost his life on May 20, 2021. Early that morning, Springfield police responded to a call about a person lying in the road on East Chestnut Street. Upon arrival, officers found Bobby Gooch Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. This incident marked the 10th homicide in Springfield for the year 2021.
