In the early morning hours of May 20, 2021, authorities in Springfield, Missouri, were alerted to a distressing scene on the city's east side. A 911 call placed around 3:34 a.m. reported a person lying in the roadway near the 1600 block of East Chestnut Street. Upon arriving at the location, officers discovered an 18-year-old male, Bobby D.
