On July 1, 2023, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Springfield Police responded to a report of a shooting at 214 W. Madison Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 19-year-old Springfield resident Keontae Tureaud suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
