In the early morning hours of Friday, June 4, 2021, law enforcement officials in Columbia, Missouri, were alerted to a shooting incident involving a young male victim. Deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene where they discovered 19-year-old Dennis Chester Darks, known affectionately to friends and family as 'DC,' suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
