Prior to her disappearance in 2026, Gold Alerts were issued for Sadie Word in April and July of 2024, when she was 14 years old and residing in Newark, Delaware.
During the April 2024 incident, she was described as being approximately 5'1" tall, weighing 100 pounds, with brown eyes and shoulder-length braided brown hair. At that time, she was last seen wearing blue Crocs or black and white sneakers, an Old Navy bookbag, and was carrying a baby doll. In July 2024, she was again reported as having fled from her residence. Her physical description remained the same, and she was reportedly wearing black Crocs, long black pants, a black T-shirt, and carrying a brown Michael Kors cross-body purse. There was a suggestion at the time that she might be in the West Chester, Pennsylvania area.
