Cary Sue Huie was 42 years old when she disappeared from New Castle, Delaware. The New Castle County Division of Police reported in its 2026 cold-case review that she was last seen on January 20, 1998, after reportedly leaving home to visit family in North Carolina. She never arrived there and has not been seen or heard from since. Public case summaries identify her as Cary Sue Huie, and police noted she may also have been known as Sue Shields Huie.
