Gary Hayward, a 36-year-old man, was last seen on May 2, 1987, in Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii. That evening, Hayward was at the Poipu Shores Bar and mentioned his intention to go swimming. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue cut-off shorts, and sneakers. He never returned to his condo or made contact with friends or family after that night, and he has not been heard from since.
