In the summer of 2011, the tranquil life of Gordon 'Kaipo' Kealoha, a 58-year-old man of Native Hawaiian descent, was disrupted by his sudden and mysterious disappearance. Known affectionately as Kaipo, he was a familiar and beloved figure in the fishing village just outside Keehi Boat Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he lived on a houseboat.
