On August 22, after exploring the underwater scenery, Phillip and his brother, Stan, began their swim back to the shore. However, in a turn of events that would soon become a mystery, when Stan reached the shoreline, he realized Phillip was no longer with him.
The sudden and alarming disappearance of Phillip Bailey prompted an immediate and extensive search and rescue operation.
