James Word, aged 48, was last seen on June 8, 2013, in San Francisco, California. At the time of his disappearance, Word was reportedly experiencing homelessness and was known to frequent several local service organizations, including Glide Memorial Church, St. Anthony's dining hall, and the Hospitality House. He had previously been evicted from his residence on Turk Street in San Francisco in July of that year.
