Early Life and Criminal Background
Curtis Dean Anderson was born in 1961 in the United States. Dropping out of school at the age of 13, he spent much of his life entangled in criminal activities, including theft, false imprisonment, and various other offenses. His repeated incarcerations did little to deter his escalating criminal behavior.
Confirmed Victim: Xiana Fairchild
On December 9, 1999, seven-year-old Xiana Fairchild disappeared in Vallejo, California. Anderson was later convicted of her kidnapping and murder. He abducted Xiana while she was on her way to school, leading to a massive search effort. Unfortunately, her remains were discovered in early 2001, confirming her tragic fate.
Confession to the Murder of Amber Swartz-Garcia
Amber Swartz-Garcia, also seven years old, vanished on June 3, 1988, while playing outside her home in Pinole, California. In 2007, shortly before his death, Anderson confessed to her abduction and murder. He claimed to have sedated Amber and transported her to Arizona, where he killed her near Benson. Despite his confession, Amber's remains have never been found, and some, including her mother, remain skeptical of his involvement.
