Overview

Matthew Mitchell was a 52-year-old Houston restaurateur whom police identified as the suspected perpetrator of a triple murder-suicide discovered on May 4, 2026. The Welfare Check

According to a later statement from Thy Mai's family, the concern began when Thy failed to appear for a scheduled family event and could not be reached. A relative went to the residence, and police were eventually asked to check the home. What Investigators Found

Houston police described the deaths as a triple murder followed by a suicide.
