On the night of Sunday, May 22, 2022, a domestic dispute in Jefferson County, Missouri, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 51-year-old Charles Holt. Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office were dispatched shortly before midnight to a residence on the 100 block of Hartford Court, located south of Fenton off Old Highway 141. Upon arrival, first responders discovered the male victim lying in front of the home, suffering from a critical gunshot wound to the torso.
Authorities provided immediate aid at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

The video reportedly showed Holt walking away from his 26-year-old daughter, Laminia Holt, who was standing in the driveway armed with a gun. At that moment, his daughter allegedly walked forward several steps and fired a single shot, striking her father.
