Death by Force

In the late summer of 2022, the quiet woods of St. Clair, Missouri, became the scene of a grim discovery. On September 2nd, Hugh T. Campbell, a 53-year-old male resident of Villa Ridge, was found deceased on Dry Branch Road. He had been in the area clearing timber when his life was abruptly ended. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene at approximately 1:20 p.m. and found Campbell with a gunshot wound. An autopsy later confirmed that a gunshot was the cause of his death.
