On September 21, 2022, a domestic tragedy unfolded in Northwoods, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, resulting in the death of 50-year-old Christy Martin. Officers from the Northwoods Police Department were dispatched to a residence on the 4500 block of Edgewood Boulevard shortly before 11:00 a.m. regarding a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered the female victim inside the home, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
