On September 26, 2022, law enforcement officers from the St. Louis County Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a shooting in the unincorporated area of Concord, specifically within the 5100 block of Golf Ridge Lane. Upon arrival at the scene around 2:12 p.m., authorities discovered 21-year-old Jynese King, an African American female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds on the grass outside an apartment complex.
