In the early morning hours of October 24, 2022, tragedy struck in Grandview, Missouri, claiming the life of 42-year-old Don 'DJ' Ozbun. Authorities were first alerted to the situation around 2:30 a.m. when reports came in regarding a vehicle crash and the sound of gunfire in the 14100 block of Merrywood Lane. Upon their arrival at the scene, Grandview police officers discovered a vehicle that had collided with a tree. Inside the wreckage, they found Ozbun unresponsive.
