In the summer of 2024, a holiday weekend was tragically marked by violence in Grandview, Missouri, culminating in the death of 26-year-old Kevin McMillian. A resident of nearby Kansas City, McMillian was fatally shot on the evening of July 5th in the area of 140th Street and Dunoon Street. The incident, which took place near a family member's home where his vehicle was parked, cut short the life of the young man.
